Impromptu
I need to see my breath again,
Envisaged in solaced air
Of novel thought
And snowflake’s calm,
Or twilit gaze
To feel it is with us
Once again,
Comprised in the sadness
Of being there
Love, where were we ever not
Nor never when
But of then?
Until here
O we are but distant gray
Tho’ breathe yet still
As now.
