Jigsaw Dreams
Inside the closet of my mind
We searched for a dream out
The Meter Reader's nasty spell
Had shadowed Verse with doubt
Bi Jou Jou once told Baby Beans,
‘The answer's always near,
Some puzzles are just camouflaged
Like you, my spotted deer’
The ceiling shook, then starlight fell
And when I looked at Beans
I saw the spots upon my fawn
Were many different things
The star-flakes melting on the floor
Were puzzling in shape
And then I saw on Baby Beans
Our ultimate escape
Help me Beans, think where to go,
And anywhere is fine
Form the picture in your head,
Then I'll see it in mine
When she did, her spots lit up
And formed a little brook
Then the star-flakes joined its flow,
And that was all it took
A cottage and a bridge appeared
Both made of cobblestone
Then I heard Bi Jou Jou say,
‘This puzzle's not unknown’
I thought of jigsaws in my life
And most of them I've stored
In closets, not in catacombs
So I will not get bored
‘Very good,’ I heard him say,
You've made the pieces fit
You’ll never be confined again
Unless you lack the wit’
The cottage glowed and at the door
Is where Bi Jou Jou stood
‘Come in you two, sit by the fire;
Relax, ‘cause it's all good’
