Lessen Me

When seeking Love's distinguished face
Had pondered Ether’s cordial grace
And found us in a different way
In other words we'd felt should say

~His tender love upon my brow~
Soothes passion in the here and now
For he has chosen me as fate
~As aching hunger I can sate~

But circumstances made for real
When marbled tombs began to seal
So vibrant skies I’d charmed for you
Soon perished unto mourning dew

Now dreamy nights I'd once enjoyed
Stream lonely tears I can't avoid
As fear dissolves our sleepy kiss
That leaves me more of you to miss
