Love's Appeal
In sleepy rhymes my dreams unfold
To timeless paths where futures hold
The tenderness I never knew
Until I saw myself in you
Where Purple reigns from dappled sky
And teardrops fall before they cry
But traveled roads without mistakes
Lack more than ruts and sorrowed aches
While life involved demands we feel
And saving face holds much appeal
Will drown before I could pretend
To settle for love's shallow end
Therefore I won't seek higher ground
But flood instead these depths I'm found
Where lines create for You and Me
Stream love we make Poetically.
