Nomadic Dreamers

Nomadic Dreamers

Bi Jou Jou blinked a sleepy dream
But not to 'What's to come'
Instead he'd brought on yesterday
To sense why I feel numb

Touching this reality
Was fear personified
The pain was insurmountable
To tears I thought I'd cried

After the unthinkable
Bi Jou Jou pulled my heart
And said let's go to anywhere
To push you back apart

I laughed at his absurdity
And got up right away
Reached inside my silliness
Then whipped out a bouquet

'Don't think you are the only one
Who knows that little trick'
Bi Jou Jou said, Aye Pollykins
It's time for clocks to tick

Beneath each step to anywhere
Was formed a cobblestone
And when he touched inside of me
My fear left me alone

Each stone turned into amethyst
But not before we took
Another step ahead of us
Which earned my muse 'The look'

You like our path to anywhere?
I answered with a smile
For Nomads of the universe
Must laugh a dreamer's mile

Now let's go find my Baby Beans,
Bi Jou Jou said, ‘Indeed,
Through whispered fields of lavender
And love none can exceed’
