Penny Muse
I peek in through my mental glass
To see what's going on
When notice something on the ground,
And realize it's a fawn
So, of course, I venture in
And name her Baby Beans
Bi Jou Jou asks me if I think
She'd eat some collard greens
Bi Jou Jou's ‘Johnny on the spot’
And, ‘anything for you’
Then he says he made her eyes
Dark green with specks of blue
I see her pupils are unique
And notice that my Muse
Is pretty proud of all he's done
But waits for my, ‘Whoo Hoos’
‘Whoo Hoo!’ I yelled, and then I heard
My voice, come from our deer
Not only did she sound like me
She even looked sincere
‘Snowflake pupils just for you’,
I hear Bi Jou Jou say
As he reaches up his sleeve
And whips out a bouquet
I had to laugh, and so did Beans,
He really is a card
Then he says he also made
My Baby Beans a bard
‘A rhyming fawn, this should be good’,
I say to Beans and wink
Then she cites a verse they wrote called,
‘Pennies from my Shrink'
A penny for your thoughts,
Regardless what they are
Ideas cost much less
Than gas does for your car
So if it costs a penny
To hear what people think
Then Polly is entitled
A refund from her shrink
