Resurgence

Resurgence

As my achromatic clouds
Churn
With the thrashing heavens,
Swirling
Obstreperously beneath my feet

Somewhere meets up
With the lost
Found treading water
In-between
The raging wind
And spoken land

Meanwhile,
Worries worthwhile
Rise or fall
From here and there;
As to keep watch
On the eye of my storm
Beckoning rest
From an understandably
Reluctant plateau

Faintly,
I can hear the slighted waves
Crushing the weight
Of this soulless night
Mimic the voice
0f my only love

Thus chilling
This familiar sound
Now known to me as simply -

A lonely place

And as I assess
My ridiculous,
Yet apt refuge
Of isolation,

A mournful emptiness
Haunting aimlessly
Amidst this ghost-like
Stretch of desorption
Claims pouring down
As clouds of understanding
Proves there is no horizon
Nor silver lining to be seen
Just the beautiful unity
Of elementariness

Even thence,
I cannot help but smile
As the sea and sky
Continue
To deny one another,

And an eerie feeling
Of calm intensity
Expresses with certainty
That joy
Can always recall comfort
In knowing once,
My Homesick
Was found to be with me
In the here and now

Aye but alas,
Sadly all things
Must come to an end

Except of course
The knowing silence
Flowing effortlessly
From our endless reveries.
