Swirl
As the weighted sensations
Which fall reflectively
Of my disheartening reticence
Encourage my unstinted tears
To crush me beneath
My lonely excuse of an existence
From within a Poetic softness
I strive to recall
How happiness was not always alone
If only to convince myself
With certainty
That once I had lived a time
When joy could be found
While experiencing laughter
Within the company
Of a dreamy other
And had even spoke respectively
As a mutual admiration
That would oft' merge
With the warm moments
Of our intimate escape
Frequently felt tingling down my spine
When pleasurable thoughts
Flirtatious
With imaginative anticipation
Attentive to you,
Could sweep across my smile
With the simplistic candor
We would encourage
As a constant
To freely swirl
Amidst our intricate glances
At least until the strive
To recall with certainty
Begins to grapple
With the recollection
Of uncertainty
And is inevitably crushed
Beneath the experience
Of sorrow's sensational weight
Which I now struggle
As a constant
To forget.
