Universal Resign
Waking up without my Muse
Beneath the hated sky
Shook to life a loneliness
Too drained to even cry
Feeling far from anything
Outside my inner pain
Found each doubt heard whispering
My dreaming was in vain
Checking through his writing desk
For my Poetic drawers
Opened up my troubled mind
And closed creative doors
Knowing I could spin a world
Without his musing touch
Dreamt a sorrowed universe
Where all had suffered much
Kindness was not welcomed there
Nor comfort in a smile
But tears could drop in for a thought
And keep you for awhile
Still it felt like home to me
A place that I should stay
Where life knows it’s much easier
To simply go away
