Whisper Me

Whisper Me

When you charm a reverie
As one for us to share
Does it breathe emphatically
Of charismatic air?

Or fall to tragic sentiment
Without so much a kiss
Discouraged by reality’s
Unsweetened emptiness?

If ever having whispered me
Outside a dreamless night
Do I cry on lonely wind
Or shine of broken light?

And would you spare my melody
So tuned into our ways
That reminiscent Poetry
Enlivened quiet days?
