Whispered Flight

When knowing eyes denying pain
Claim moments I endure
Days of now, pass time as lost
While nights remain obscure

And reaching out seeks looking in
For love's nostalgic flight
As memories of Poetry
Fly blind with gifted sight

To find a path through winter's dream
And walk with fallen snow
Where whispered hopes breathe silent nights
From not so long ago

And songs of slumber play for me
Through notes of treasured sky
So dreams become my chosen grace
Where I don't have to cry.
